Derrike has been involved with racing for more than three decades, from driver to car owner.  In 1987 he formed Derrike Cope, Inc. and started his own NASCAR team.  Since then he has fielded many teams within the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series. Derrike has been very involved with his twin nieces, Amber & Angela Cope, helping them find success in the ARCA series. 

Derrike has two additonal companies that he is involved. C2P, LLC is an aftermarket shock absorber company that provides suspension components for both branded and private label distribution channels for stock cars, motorcycles, atv's, road racing, and many other applications. DEM Development is a construction company based in Charlotte, NC.

As a multi-business owner, you would think Derrike would have very little spare time.  However he still finds time to participate in public speaking engagements from the small company to the large fortune 500 corporations nationwide.
